Caribou, also known as Reindeer, is a species within the deer family known for their association with Old Saint Nick and the northern habitats in which they live. The amazing Antlers which sit on top of their head along with their colossal bodies make these special animals a sight among sights in Alaska. Caribou and are typically found above the 50th Latitude line with significant populations found in Alaska, Canada, Norway, Siberia and Greenland. These Antlers were shed by migrating Caribou and carved by Bob Merry an Alaskan artist near the Anchorage area; this piece is titled “Bear Chasing Rabbit”.
